This is a poster I designed for the influential DC band Bad Brains. Unfortunately the band had to cancel this tour due to health issues, so these were probably never made, but they would have been A2 sized digital offsets. For this design, the band wanted to have a group photo incorporated, so to avoid the pitfalls of the cliche' band-photo-poster I cut up and re-assembled the bands photo, scanned the reassembled photo- printed it out a final time and literally tore the print into the shape of Australia! I then scanned it a last time and halftoned the whole thing, ultimately working it into a 4 color composition, with hand drawn border elements and nice clean type. Classic red, yellow, green Bad Brains colors.
